you're not rly rolling your R's

in the dark,
familial neon is
flying overhead.
iridescent brilliance
exists in silence;
there, she sees bodies
floating in a lustrous grease.

at the top,
she is beneath him.
she does what she must
from her kneeling pose.
she will leave herself then
bc he is in charge.

playfully, yet truly,
she loves him now:
she can still 'do you'.
"let all be as it should,
bc we can hug and kiss
and love each other physically."
who could have foreseen
the necessity of compromise
in achieving pleasantries?
she hadn't, but was now
coming to understand
her life: filled, full;
